Ten

Ten

  1. First, as is oblivious, do not degrade that which you call evil.  Evil is relative. There is a right and wrong, that is, a right way of doing things and a wrong, but it is not in the aspect of religion, as it were, to decree that something is either good or evil.
  2. Do as you wish to worship God but do not give unto him as you would not unto yourself.  Know, more than all, thyself, but do not pride thy answer unto many without real knowledge.
  3. "Be whatever you are, do whatever you want to do, just so long as you don't hurt anybody"  -- Hair
  4. Trust what you see in the interaction of others.  You’re probably right.  If you can’t trust you, who can you trust?
  5. Believe in destiny.  Shoot for the stars, you might just hit the moon.
  6. Accept.  If there are two lanes to cross to get to the off-ramp, go to the next.  If the other guy is hotter, give her to him.  If she feels vague, give her life.  Or him, inverse.
  7. Know what is truth.  One can only be true given the true knowledge of truth, and falsehood.
  8. Use your basic skills.  Really, we are all the same.  It is only in the differentiation of your own skills that life makes sense.
  9. Improve.  If you don’t you are fatalistically you.
  10. That which is pleasurable is pleasurable for a reason, whether right or wrong.  Do not condemn that which is pleasurable because it gives pleasure, but only if it leads to ruin.  If a path to the joyous can be found wherein the subject does not suffer for it, by all mean, pursue.

Spirituality and drunkenness go hand in hand.  I was really gone when this flowed out of me in a moment of the Greek's exstasis, enlightenment, whatever you want to call it; totally in touch with those powers that be.  Neat.

It's been revised since.
